Mosai(k) Membership · Draft v4 · For JD · Sep 2026
The next evolution

We stop selling seats.
We start admitting firms.

Phase one introduced AI to the industry at $50 a month with no commitment. It worked — the best TPAs in the country came to us. Phase two turns that into Mosai(k): a closed, referral-only membership of elite firms, with the (k) Suite on every desk inside each one.

The thesis

The pyramid

Membership is the apex. Everything below it is what membership makes possible. The software price is a penetration tool, not the revenue model.

MOSAI(K) MEMBERSHIP REFERRAL ONLY · CAP 40 FIRM-WIDE ADOPTION Every admin desk · every workflow SEATS ARE FREE INSIDE THE FIRM THE COHORT Products · Services · Intelligence · Standards · Distribution THE ASSET WE MONETIZE — LATER, ON OUR TERMS

Apex — Mosai(k) Membership

One inexpensive annual membership per firm. Invitation or referral only. A cap on the number of firms. The price is deliberately a rounding error; the door is the value.

Middle — Firm-wide adoption

Seats cost nothing inside a member firm, so the principal has no reason to ration them. This is how Waivz moves from the corner office to the year-end floor.

Base — The cohort

When the top firms in the industry run census, plan design, and testing through one platform, the cohort itself is a product. We listen to it, build for it, and eventually monetize the position — never the members.

The door

Invitation or referral only. Capped.

Closing the cohort does four jobs at once, and none of them can be done with pricing.

It ends the teardown problem

Nobody can buy their way in. A member firm has to vouch for you. A recordkeeper, an offshore administration outsourcer, or a straw-buyer advisor never gets past the form — no ToS enforcement required.

It formalizes our best channel

The recent signup cluster came from TPAs talking to TPAs. Referral-only makes that the only way in — every member becomes a recruiter, and every new member arrives with a reference attached.

It creates the status

"Elite boutique firm, elite boutique customers" needs a door. A capped, referral-only membership with a waitlist is that door. Scarcity is the positioning.

It rewrites the founding story

Our current 23 are not "grandfathered rate-holders." They are Founding Firms — charter members of the thing everyone else is on the waitlist for. They keep their current pricing and can opt into Firm Membership whenever it makes sense for them.

Pricing & packaging

Three ways to be inside. One way to get in.

One price, one door. No individual seat, no plan-count tiers, no à-la-carte slices of the suite. The $50 single seat was the gateway that let anyone walk in and look at everything; that gateway closes. A one- or two-person TPA still gets extraordinary value at the firm price.

Why the firm price sits at about three seats

Any firm with three or more potential users flips to Mosai(k) Membership immediately — and at that moment the marginal seat becomes free. That single mechanic is what pushes the product down to the admin desks. Per-seat pricing would do the opposite: every principal would buy two licenses and wait.

What we're deliberately not doing

No individual seat. No $25 standalone Chat(k). No Search(k)+Bench(k) bundle. No plan-count tiers. Slicing the suite anchors its value low, fragments the "(k) Suite" positioning, and makes a single-app teardown cheaper than it is today. If we ever offer à-la-carte, it goes upward as add-ons for members — never downward into pieces.

Client experience

The member journey

From a colleague's recommendation to twenty active users on the year-end floor. Six steps; two of them are ours to approve.

Referral

A prospect types in who sent them — a member firm or an individual member. No codes, no list to pick from. We match it on our side.

Member → prospect

Application

Firm name, your name and role, business email, referred by. One screen. No card yet.

Softr form → Airtable

Verification

TPA matched against Form 5500 Schedule C service-provider data we already hold. Advisors checked on IAPD / BrokerCheck. Domain screened against a vendor blocklist.

Worker + 5500 data

Approval

Tony or JD approves by hand. At 40 firms this is minutes a week and worth every one of them.

Human gate

Onboarding

Principal gets a firm admin console, invites staff by email, and the whole office is live the same day. Annual invoice via Stripe.

Community

Private channel, quarterly cohort call, roadmap votes. First look at CensusCheck, with its own webinar. Members recruit the next members.

The base of the pyramid

What the cohort makes possible

Once the top firms run their intake, design, and testing through us, we hold a position nobody else has. These are the plays that position enables — roughly in the order they become real.

01

Workflow rebuilds

Custom workflow builds for member firms, priced as projects. Already happening. Every rebuild moves a firm's process into our architecture.

02

The standard

When every member's census runs through CensusCheck, our format becomes the elite-TPA standard. Payroll providers and recordkeepers conform to us.

03

Aggregate intelligence

Anonymized, consented operational data across the cohort — design trends, testing outcomes, census quality by payroll vendor. Ours alone.

04

Distribution

Advisors and sponsors want a shortlist of elite TPAs. Integrators want to be in front of them. We control the door to that room.

05

The endgame

A bigger firm eventually wants the cohort, not the code. That is the leverage in any partnership or acquisition conversation — on our terms.

Decided, and what's still open

Decided

  • Name: Mosai(k) Membership. Hero wordmark final — tiled letters, solid wave, solid orange (k), 2×2 orange dot, ™ until registered.
  • Cap: 40 firms. A reach from 23, and room for the top-tier firms we want.
  • Firm price: $199 / month · $1,990 / year. Confirmed.
  • Individual seat: gone. The $50 gateway closes.
  • Founding Firms: keep current pricing; opt into $199 firm-wide whenever they choose.
  • Referrals: typed in by the applicant — a member firm or an individual member. Matched on our side. No codes, no visible client list.
  • Timing: membership launches ahead of CensusCheck; first look at CensusCheck is a headline benefit, with its own webinar.

Still open

  • Enterprise pricing. Aggregators and roll-ups are priced by JD per deal. Do we publish a floor, or keep it fully quote-based?
  • How the cap counts a roll-up. One slot for the parent, or one per operating entity? Affects how fast 40 fills.
  • Founding Firm opt-in mechanics. Stripe plan switch mid-cycle: prorate, or take effect at next renewal?
  • What lives behind the Mosai(k) gate. The member page is decided; its private features aren't. Cohort channel, roadmap votes, CensusCheck first look — what else?
  • CensusCheck webinar date relative to membership launch — the webinar is the demand engine, so sequencing matters.
The name

Mosai(k). Many firms, one picture.

A mosaic is many pieces making one image — which is the cohort. The AI sits in the middle of the word where nobody can miss it, and the (k) is native. It isn't TPA-specific or advisor-specific; it's about the assembly.

Mosai(k) wordmark

How the name is used

  • Mosai(k) Membership — the program and the plan
  • Mosai(k) member firm — a firm that's inside
  • Mosai(k) Founding Firm — the current 23
  • ™ on the wordmark until the USPTO registers it; word mark filed first

Two marks, one name

  • Hero — the tiled mark above, for anything shown at 300px or wider: the Mosai(k) member page, decks, webinar title card, print
  • Companion — solid blue letters with the 2×2 orange tile dot, for member chips, badges, favicons
  • Mosai(k) stands alone — it does not appear in the Waivz nav bar
  • Hero is final as an AI draft; vector redraw is the next production step
