Phase one introduced AI to the industry at $50 a month with no commitment. It worked — the best TPAs in the country came to us. Phase two turns that into Mosai(k): a closed, referral-only membership of elite firms, with the (k) Suite on every desk inside each one.
Membership is the apex. Everything below it is what membership makes possible. The software price is a penetration tool, not the revenue model.
One inexpensive annual membership per firm. Invitation or referral only. A cap on the number of firms. The price is deliberately a rounding error; the door is the value.
Seats cost nothing inside a member firm, so the principal has no reason to ration them. This is how Waivz moves from the corner office to the year-end floor.
When the top firms in the industry run census, plan design, and testing through one platform, the cohort itself is a product. We listen to it, build for it, and eventually monetize the position — never the members.
Closing the cohort does four jobs at once, and none of them can be done with pricing.
Nobody can buy their way in. A member firm has to vouch for you. A recordkeeper, an offshore administration outsourcer, or a straw-buyer advisor never gets past the form — no ToS enforcement required.
The recent signup cluster came from TPAs talking to TPAs. Referral-only makes that the only way in — every member becomes a recruiter, and every new member arrives with a reference attached.
"Elite boutique firm, elite boutique customers" needs a door. A capped, referral-only membership with a waitlist is that door. Scarcity is the positioning.
Our current 23 are not "grandfathered rate-holders." They are Founding Firms — charter members of the thing everyone else is on the waitlist for. They keep their current pricing and can opt into Firm Membership whenever it makes sense for them.
One price, one door. No individual seat, no plan-count tiers, no à-la-carte slices of the suite. The $50 single seat was the gateway that let anyone walk in and look at everything; that gateway closes. A one- or two-person TPA still gets extraordinary value at the firm price.
Any firm with three or more potential users flips to Mosai(k) Membership immediately — and at that moment the marginal seat becomes free. That single mechanic is what pushes the product down to the admin desks. Per-seat pricing would do the opposite: every principal would buy two licenses and wait.
No individual seat. No $25 standalone Chat(k). No Search(k)+Bench(k) bundle. No plan-count tiers. Slicing the suite anchors its value low, fragments the "(k) Suite" positioning, and makes a single-app teardown cheaper than it is today. If we ever offer à-la-carte, it goes upward as add-ons for members — never downward into pieces.
From a colleague's recommendation to twenty active users on the year-end floor. Six steps; two of them are ours to approve.
A prospect types in who sent them — a member firm or an individual member. No codes, no list to pick from. We match it on our side.
Member → prospectFirm name, your name and role, business email, referred by. One screen. No card yet.
Softr form → AirtableTPA matched against Form 5500 Schedule C service-provider data we already hold. Advisors checked on IAPD / BrokerCheck. Domain screened against a vendor blocklist.
Worker + 5500 dataTony or JD approves by hand. At 40 firms this is minutes a week and worth every one of them.
Human gatePrincipal gets a firm admin console, invites staff by email, and the whole office is live the same day. Annual invoice via Stripe.
Stripe + Softr groupsPrivate channel, quarterly cohort call, roadmap votes. First look at CensusCheck, with its own webinar. Members recruit the next members.
The flywheelOnce the top firms run their intake, design, and testing through us, we hold a position nobody else has. These are the plays that position enables — roughly in the order they become real.
Custom workflow builds for member firms, priced as projects. Already happening. Every rebuild moves a firm's process into our architecture.
When every member's census runs through CensusCheck, our format becomes the elite-TPA standard. Payroll providers and recordkeepers conform to us.
Anonymized, consented operational data across the cohort — design trends, testing outcomes, census quality by payroll vendor. Ours alone.
Advisors and sponsors want a shortlist of elite TPAs. Integrators want to be in front of them. We control the door to that room.
A bigger firm eventually wants the cohort, not the code. That is the leverage in any partnership or acquisition conversation — on our terms.

A mosaic is many pieces making one image — which is the cohort. The AI sits in the middle of the word where nobody can miss it, and the (k) is native. It isn't TPA-specific or advisor-specific; it's about the assembly.
